Utilize your public library system. Never underestimate the power of your library. I purchase a fair share of books but I also utilize my public library all the time. Not only do libraries have books, and cds and DVDs, larger systems have access to electronic resources. Such as my system allows you access to Anceestry.com. Which if you performing family research and want full access to the site, you may be paying a monthly subscription. I have indepth access to Morningstar. Without a subscription you would only receive a summary information on a particular stock. Online subscriptions really do add up.
More and more libraries are offering access to sites such as Lynda, the teaching site. Just get yourself a library card and see what your library can offer you.
Great article.
