Threads is horrific. I watched it. It has been a film to be talked about on our pop culture podcast Weekend Justice, yet no one wanted to scar themselves. I watched so they did not have to.

One that I thought is bleak and horrifying was Stephen King’s “The Mist” (not the TV show!) the break down of civilization in a grocery story. The director, Frank Darabont created an ending disturbed King.

The only think that saved me from total despair for the day was to immediately watch Disney’s “Enchanted” in the next theater. Such a bright film. Funny, I have never rewatched that film.
