There are very good take aways in this article. The other day I read a "Dear Abby" style article on Slate. A female and her partner received a million dollar inheritance from her grandfather. She and her partner cared for him in his declining years. He left all his money to them not to the rest of the family. Guess what? the family who neglected him and her (she was gay and the family did not approve) are not happy, but now are hounding the granddaughter. They worked hard to make sure he was comfortable and happy. That is work.
