It is not until a young genius is humiliated or experience the shock of loss that they gain insight that the sun and universe does not revolve around them. They take note and move on, until catastrophe happens again. It takes time. Some realize much later that stomping around breaking things and people (usually their employees) and by offering free beer or foosball as an apology does not work. (I know older business folk who feel this approach works)

Youth is an impatient time. I know I experienced that once. You get wrapped up in your head. Your message is the one that matters. Why don’t other think your idea is great. I get that, but learning to connect on a personal level is key to survival. But at an early age You do not know how to listen to people.

Look at any television show that has a young genius. There is usually an episode where, the young genius learns the value of wisdom because of their arrogance. In real life the only way young geniuses learn their lesson is in the form of their stock dropping or people abandoning their skillfully crafted brand.
