I thought we GenXers were supposed to dislike Babyboomers? GenXers have been trying to get Boomers to move along already. We feel like Prince Charles waiting to assume power that will never come. If it does, it will be for only a short brief time.

I have read Douglas Coupland’s “Shampoo Planet”, Microserfs” and “GenerationX” years ago. It seems they were books that molded my outlook on life and the only way one could standout is to be an outlier or iconoclast. In my mind I am both. That could be from having to find one’s interest and not be feed your entertainment.

I have no dislike for the Millenials. I am hoping that they kicking in some money soon for when I can retire. When I graduated college in 1987, we faced unemployment and inability to break into certain sectors in large corporations. If anything we of the GenXers have faced similar issues that Millenials face, it is the Babyboomers. Look at anyone in politics. It is the someone who is Babyboomer or older.

Millenials just don’t know that “Soylent Green is People.”

Enjoy the future in what ever form it comes in.

Very thought provoking article.
