I love my private library, my little free library and my city’s library system. I am the president of my branch library Friend’s group. Having access to books are key to living a good life.

I love the recommendation of reading a book like a magazine. i do this with art books or some DIY book where I do not need to read the whole thing.

For nonfiction books I utilize the table of contents, the Forward or introduction, the index and bibliography. This allows me to get the gist of the book and then find information that peeks my interest.i will then set it aside then come back to it later. It is a good way of performing information research, which I do as a business.

Great article. I hope this gets more people to read. I think some people don’t care for reading because they feel as if they have to read straight through. Published diaries are a great to spring about reading an entry here and there. I have Warhol’s, Richard Burton’s, David Sedaris’ diaries that I read an entry here and there.
