Great article. I am reading Alex Soojung-Kim Pang’s book “Rest” a great exploration the area of why we need rest. Rest and work are not Opposites.

I have taken advice from Christopher Neumann in the documentary series Abstract: Art of Design. He says from another designer that “Inspiration is of amateurs. For designers we go to work. It is about showing up.” That is how I had a good career as an art director. Everyday was solving people’s problems.

I know people who want to write and are waiting on the muse, inspiration what have you. They do not write. They are stuck I am working at writing. I am posting and trying new ideas. I know I will fail. I read other’s work to see what I may be missing. I am a lifelong seeker. I am always learning. Your line about learning is great. Thank you.
