A very good assessment of what our world has become. Just the other day, my boyfriend and I went to a local brewery taproom that had a back yard along a greenspace and creek. (McCoy’s creek) While we were enjoying a very lovely cool day, we noticed the couple who were there on their phones. He was so engrossed and she looked bored. Was this a compromise? We spent sometime making up stories about this couple who seemed to be oblivious of the wonderful surrounds about them.

Once upon a time the internet was a world where the lonely and disenfranchised could find kindred spirits. It still does that but, the price one pays handing over your attention to a corporation is pretty hefty fee. The fee is that one day we wake up and wonder where our time went.
